Compensation: $17.85 per hour plus participation in tip pool

The Opportunity

Peak Cellars is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher (Steward) to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. This role is critical to the success of our food and wine program, ensuring all service ware, kitchen tools, and workspaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation expected in a premium dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish pit, kitchen, and storage areas
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all clean items
  • Assist with basic kitchen tasks such as food prep, receiving deliveries, and waste management as needed
  • Remove garbage and recycling, maintaining the cleanliness of disposal areas
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and chemicals
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards (WHMIS compliant)
  • Support the kitchen team during peak service periods with urgency and efficiency

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or stewarding role is an asset, but not required
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • High attention to cleanliness and detail
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
