2022 Goldie Red

A blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Gamay Noir.  Dark cherry cola, red licorice, cherry blasters and chunky strawberry jam consume your olfactory senses, garnished with more delicate notes of purple florals and a savoury, herbal essence of tarragon.  Medium bodied, the smooth elegant silky tannins hold the wine together, enveloping flavours of coiled black licorice, roasted coffee red plum and dark brambly fruits, carrying a long lingering finish.

While this is a very easy wine to drink on its own, it’s a great wine for cheese and charcuterie boards and freshly barbequed juicy burgers.  Low to medium-marbled steak cuts like flank steak (for tacos and fajitas) and tenderloin and also steak tartare are also delicious pairings.
